On the west side of the second floor are novels, books and newspapers all over Britain.

Foreign language books, newspapers and periodicals, including a batch of materials for studying abroad, books donated by friendly cities such as the United States, France, Japan, Germany and New Zealand, and reference books in English and Japanese, are collected in foreign language libraries. Open-shelf reading, most foreign books and periodicals are borrowed with foreign library cards.
