General History of Vietnam and History of Vietnam are chronicles of Vietnam, written in classical Chinese and Chinese, and are also the most important history books for studying Vietnamese history. This book was compiled by warrior Lian Zi after Li Sheng Zong Hongde's period (1470- 1497), and contains legends and historical facts since Pang Hong's period. Finally, in 1697, Li Nuo was responsible for adding it after Li Jiazong's An Deyu period (1675).

The Outline of Vietnamese History is one of the important history books in Vietnam, with a total of 53 volumes, which are chronicled in classical Chinese. In the eighth year of Ruan Yi's four virtues (1856), Pan Qingjin began to compile it, and it was published in the first year of Ruan Jianzong's Fu Jian (1884) after several revisions.
