Formerly known as Hubei Rural Teachers College, the College was founded in 193 1. Over the years, the college has mainly undertaken the undergraduate education of primary and secondary school teachers, the training of primary and secondary school teachers and education management cadres in Hubei Province, and the research and guidance tasks of primary and secondary school education and teaching. It has accumulated rich resources in the field of teacher education and is one of the important teacher education bases in Hubei Province.
