Is the Four Ku Quanshu in Qing Dynasty the official history?
To be clear, Sikuquanshu is not a pure history book, but a collection similar to an encyclopedia. It is divided into four parts: classics, history, zi and Ji, and history belongs to the history department.

The history department includes 15 categories, such as official history, chronicle, miscellaneous history, other history, imperial edict, biography, historical records, records, seasons, geography, official positions, political books, catalogues, historical reviews, etc.

Basically, most of the tampered parts of Sikuquanshu are words. For example, works that reflect ethnic contradictions, ethnic oppression and national fighting spirit are generally revised and have little impact on history.

Another thing about Sikuquanshu is that it doesn't include some important historical times, such as the 10th day in Yangzhou and the 3rd massacre in Jiading. This has a certain impact on history, but it can't be regarded as tampering, can it?

The most serious distortion of history is that Sikuquanshu depicts the society before the Qing Dynasty in a dark way, but depicts the emperor of the Qing Dynasty as a sage like Yao Shunyu, which is inconsistent with history.

Generally speaking, the books compiled by the emperor must serve the emperor.
