The Diary of a Girl is adapted from the novel of the same name by children writer Yang, directed by Shi Jiandou, written by Wang Qun and Wang Ning, and starring He Jiong and Andy.
The play tells about the study life of sixth grade students. The little girl Ran Dongyang described her unforgettable life with her classmates before she graduated from primary school in the form of a diary.
Diary of a Girl is the last film of director Shi Jiandou's growing-up trilogy. The first two films, Mom didn't go far, and My Days with Jordan, won the best children's film award, jury award, Chinese film bronze bull award and many other awards at Cairo International Film Festival.
