Genealogy books are also a major feature of ancient books. There are 835 kinds of genealogy in the collection, the surname is 173, most of which are printed and carved in Ming, Qing and early Republic of China, and there are more than 30 kinds of rare books. The genealogy of New Wang An compiled by Wang Yunlong in the third year of Yuan Dynasty (65,438+0377) was first published. The collection of ancient books and genealogy in the library of Hebei University can be called "the first in the country and the first in Hebei" in terms of quantity and publishing style.
There are some ancient books in the collection, such as maps, calligraphy and painting, calligraphy and inscriptions.
