Longman FLTRP New Concept English (1) (New Edition) First Edition English Text Phonetics
This recording of New Concept English (English version 1987) was carefully recorded by Shanghai Foreign Language Education Publishing House by British language experts and broadcasters, and its sound quality and reading level are no less than the old version authorized by Longman (English version 1993).

New Concept English 1987 is different from Shanghai Foreign Language Education Press. In order to meet the demands and demands of many domestic readers who study and use this textbook, Shanghai Foreign Language Education Publishing House specially commissioned the American International Cultural Exchange Company to hire four famous American broadcasting experts with rich American recording experience. All the tapes are in standard American pronunciation, which will greatly promote readers to learn authentic American English.

English version of New Concept English 1985 Anhui Science and Technology Publishing House specially recorded a teaching tape suitable for China students, including reading new words and phrases in each lesson; Personally, I think it is more helpful to read the text at a slow and normal speed. The tape was read aloud by the teacher of East China Normal University, and the voice was very authentic. Although it was read by China people, there are many standards in the cockney accent, which is one of the few authentic foreign languages I have ever heard.

The English version of New Concept English (1993) is jointly published by Shanghai Foreign Language Audio-visual Publishing House and World Book Publishing Company, commonly known as the "old edition", which has the following remarkable features:

1. All these are read aloud by BBC and Longman language experts. The original recording was recorded at 1976, which was smooth and authentic.

2. Recorded by multiple announcers (at least 2 different genders or voices), with outstanding sound richness. The new edition of New Concept English published by Foreign Language Teaching and Research Press and Beijing Foreign Language Audio-visual Publishing House is monotonous except that the first volume is read by men and women in turn.

3. The language speed is slightly faster and the rhythm is smoother than that of FLTRP.

(FLTRP New Edition) The new edition of New Concept English has updated several texts, so the recording of these texts has become the "swan song" of the old edition, which is impossible in the new edition.

The English version of New Concept English (version 1980s) was recorded by Isabel Bailey and Simon johnstone, foreign language experts of Beijing Foreign Studies University, exclusively hired by Beijing Foreign Language Audio-Visual Publishing House in 1960s. The tape was used with the old version of New Concept English (1-4), and some netizens responded well.

The English 1980s version of New Concept English Shanghai Foreign Language Bookstore (audio-visual publishing house, foreign language book company) was read by British language experts Craig K. Breon and Penny Palmer (the first tape also included Yang Xiaoshi and Zhang, predecessors of Shanghai Foreign Language School), and the recording engineer was Ding Weiming (senior recording engineer in Shanghai). The whole set of tapes is very authentic, and this kind of tape is top grade in both recording technology and reading level.
