Every project of SOHO China Foundation is not only donating money, but also attracting and encouraging every employee of SOHO China to participate in every public welfare project. In addition to paying money, they also have to pay time, affection and wisdom to serve and give back to society.
During the three years from 2004 to 2006, SOHO China Foundation donated 9.6 million yuan, but in 2007 alone, the donation amount was more than twice that of the previous three years, totaling more than 20 million yuan. Among them, the education-related donation amount is14.7 million yuan, accounting for more than 70% of the total donation. The purpose is to donate the educational infrastructure in Huangnan Prefecture, Qinghai Province, the construction of some school libraries in Tianshui City, Gansu Province, college students with financial difficulties in Beijing, and the "poverty alleviation" project of Beijing Chaoyang Charity Association. By the beginning of 2008, SOHO China Foundation and SOHO China Co., Ltd. * * * had funded more than 40 charitable projects, amounting to more than RMB 3,654,387+700,000.
