Baishaba is one of the four famous cultural dams in Sichuan in history, which is as famous as Shapingba in Chongqing, Huaxi Dam in Chengdu and Xiaba in Beibei. It is also one of the four major cultural areas in China's rear area.

In April 2006, 5438+0 was named as the first batch of famous historical and cultural towns in Chongqing. 20 10 was awarded the title of "China Famous Historical and Cultural Town".

Baisha is rich in natural resources and outstanding in people. This Millennium-old town was famous in the world in the first half of the 20th century, not only because of its economic prosperity and rich cultural heritage, but also because of its rich cultural heritage and long school-running history.

From 65438 to 0868, the Qing Dynasty extended to Tongzhi for seven years. Deng Qinglian (original name, word Shiquan), the founder of Jiangjin Gang of Deng's salt industry, and the founder of Huimeng raised funds to establish Jukui School in Heishishan. After that, I went through academies, schools and schools. Jukui was founded 100 years ago, with a large number of talents and many stars.

Jukui School is one of the four best-preserved ancient academies in Bashu. 1992, Jukui Middle School was listed as a national famous school. On September 26th, 20 12, it was renamed Chongqing Jukui Middle School. 1At the end of 905, Deng Hexiang founded one of the earliest girls' primary schools in Sichuan-a new private girls' school (now located in Chongqing Industrial and Commercial School).

1937 during the full-scale War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression outbreak, a large number of factories, enterprises, cultural units and social figures moved in with the national government in the occupied areas. The most striking thing about moving to Baisha at that time was the school. Chen Lifu, then Minister of Education of Xiangfu, presided over the establishment of a national middle school at full public expense, and Baisha Town took on the heavy responsibility after opening the preparatory classes for universities.

At the beginning of 1939, the Sichuan service group of primary and secondary school teachers in the war zone of the Ministry of Education was first established in Baisha Town, responsible for resettling primary and secondary school teachers from enemy-occupied areas.

1938 Chongqing Women's Normal School moved to Liumagang, Baisha.

On April 1939 and 12, the first class of Zhongshan middle school affiliated to the third service group of theater teachers moved from Chongqing to the beach on the other side of Baisha. It was not until August of 194 1 that it was merged into the ninth middle school in Deganba and became the third branch of its high school [Deng Jiaxian, winner of Mao Dun Literature Prize, and Xia, academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences, were all students at that time].

1939, East Sichuan Normal University also moved to Baisha.

1940 The 17th National Middle School was moved from Baxian to Baisha. It ran until August 1945, and moved to Jingangtuo again, and was changed to National Jiangjin Teachers College.

On September 20th, 1940, the National Women's Teachers College founded by the Ministry of Education opened in Baisha Xinqiao. The dean is Xie Xunchu, the former inspector of the Ministry of Education. Among the professors are famous scholars such as Wei Jianchu, Wu Bochao, Tai Jingnong, Wu, Sha Mei, Yu Xueman, Chai Degeng, Li and Li. From then on, this women's normal college is the only women's highest institution in China. /kloc-0 moved to Chongqing Jiulongpo former Jiaotong University (now Academy of Fine Arts) in August, 1946 (with the old professor as the dean),/kloc-0 merged with the former Southwest Agricultural University in June, 1950 to form Southwest University.

Also in 1940, the pre-university class specially set up by the Ministry of Education was located in Baisha Lvxi Peninsula, where famous people such as Cao Chu worked. 1946 was merged into Women's Teachers College.

The Ministry of Education has newly established the National Women's Teachers College, the National Women's Teachers College and other middle schools in Baisha.

During the same period, the number of local primary and secondary schools in Baisha increased. Except the earliest Jukui Middle School (1870 ~ present); Jiangjin Teachers College (founded in 1904) moved into the newly-built teaching building in Lvxi Peninsula in September 1934. Since its establishment, it was merged into Jiangjin Campus of Chongqing Electronic Vocational and Technical College in February 2006. April 2008, 1 1, renamed Chongqing Aerospace Vocational and Technical College); 1930 private new girls' middle school; Baisha town girls' junior high school. 194 1 autumn, a private Zhide junior middle school was established by Zhouzhide General Temple and its sub-temples, and a private Ping Xiu middle school was established by Sichuan Association for the Promotion of Civilian Education. By the end of 1942, there were nearly 40 primary and secondary schools in Baisha town, with more than 10,000 students all the year round. Baisha Town really became a "student town" during the Anti-Japanese War, which is rare in the world. For this reason, Baisha, Shapingba and Beibei are called the three major cultural areas in Chongqing.

Such a "cultural town" also gathered a large number of cultural units at different levels during the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression period. The National Central Library (Jiang) moved from Chongqing to Baisha on 1939. The National Compilation Hall (with Chen Kezhong as the curator) has also been relocated.

It is precisely because of the large number of schools, cultural institutions and organizations at all levels that it attracted many professors, scholars, writers, artists and celebrities, which created the prosperity of Baisha Town during the Anti-Japanese War. During their teaching, working, living and traveling here, they created many excellent works and made far-reaching achievements.

On March 27th, 1942, Cao Zhu, the head teacher of the preparatory class in the university, also served as the president and founded Baisha Weekly. On February 5th of the same year, at 65438, initiated by Zhong Zhang Heng, Baisha Experimental Briefing Society was established at No.7 Guanghua Road, and Baisha Experimental Briefing was founded. Baisha Youth League Committee also founded Baisha Youth Weekly, Times Pictorial and People's Weekly in succession during the three years of 1942, 1943 and 1945.

1942 On March 29th, the memorial day of the seventy-two martyrs' martyrdom in Huanghuagang, Baisha Music Education Promotion Association cooperated with the Music Education Committee of the Ministry of Education, and borrowed the venue of Jiangjin Normal School in the Green West Peninsula to hold the "China Music Month Chorus for Ten Thousand People". Song of Baisha Town, written by Lu Qian and directed by Wu Bochao, is the first unprecedented chorus of ten thousand people in the music history of China.

On March 1944 and 19, Feng Yuxiang, then vice chairman of the Central Military Commission, and his wife Li Dequan attended the fund-raising meeting held in Xiheba, Baisha Town, with the aim of promoting the Anti-Japanese War, building more planes and supporting fund-raising ahead. At the donation meeting, * * * raised more than 6.5 million yuan, setting a record for Sichuan. Afterwards, Feng Yuxiang wrote the article "The Most Patriotic Town-Baisha", describing the donation conference with passion.

On the eve of liberation, in the spring of 1949, Wu took the lead in establishing the "White House College of Literature" in the former site of Liumagang New School for Girls, and invited Wu Mi to give lectures.

After liberation, 195 1 established eight professional schools of various types in Baisha, including business, agriculture, handicrafts, education, culture, health, animal husbandry and veterinary medicine, and Chinese medicine training, which is an important stage of the development of Baisha education. Schools established in Baisha Town since 1950s include Jiangjin Baisha Drama Art School and Chuannan Industrial Management School (1987 moved to Ma Xie Town, Beibei District, Chongqing, upgraded to Chongqing Vocational and Technical College in 200 1, and merged with Chongqing Electronic Technology Vocational College in 2007 to become Chongqing Electronic Engineering Vocational College). There are 7 middle schools and 10 primary schools. According to 1985, there are 6800 students.

In 2007, education in Baisha reached the peak of history, with more than 50 schools of all levels and types, with more than 40,000 teachers and students. It is the educational and cultural center of northern Guizhou and Jiangjin.

A long history has created an ancient culture, which has given birth to a unique charm. Wu, a famous patriotic poet and one of the founders of Chongqing University, local historian Deng Shaoqin, China painter, agronomist Cheng Shaojiong, meteorologist Xu, bacteriologist, cardiologist Deng Qingzeng, economist, educator Yan Shifu, patriotic general Xia, calligrapher, oil painter Chen Kezhi, composer Wang Xiren, former head coach of the national women's volleyball team Deng Ruoceng, former director of the Science, Technology and Industry Committee for National Defense, former president of China Academy of Sciences, academician Zhou, vice chairman of the National People's Congress Standing Committee (NPCSC).

Chen Duxiu, one of the founders of China * * * Production Party, General Feng Yuxiang, former vice chairman of the Military Commission of the National Government, Song Meiling, Liang Shuming, Huang Yanpei and James gareth Endicott all left touching stories and a lot of cultural wealth in Baisha.
