Yantai Institute of Science and Technology is a full-time general undergraduate college focusing on engineering, management and art with coordinated development of multiple disciplines. It has nationally recognized qualifications for awarding undergraduate and junior college degrees and has the right to award bachelor's degrees. The predecessor of the school is Quancheng College of Jinan University, which was founded in 2005. 20 19 joined China Education Group, and 202 1 changed its name to Yantai Institute of Science and Technology.
The school is located in Penglai, a famous historical and cultural city with the reputation of "fairyland on earth", facing the sea, with beautiful scenery and pleasant climate. It is a coastal university with beautiful environment.
The campus covers an area of 1789 mu, with a building area of more than 350,000 square meters. It has a digital library with a collection of nearly 6.5438 million volumes, a standard plastic track and field, a gymnasium, an international academic lecture hall and more than 80 experimental training rooms, including a media center. A campus network with 10 Gigabit as the core, from Gigabit to building and from 100 Gigabit to desktop, has been built, which has achieved full coverage of wireless network campus.
The school enrolls students nationwide, with about 1.8 million full-time students. There are six secondary colleges, namely Intelligent Engineering College, Business School, Culture and Media College, Art and Design College, Wine College and International Education College, and two teaching departments, namely Marxism College and Sports Department.
