Ma Bingjian, born in 1947, Hebei Anxin, senior engineer, registered architect. Engaged in the construction, design, research, teaching and publishing of ancient buildings in China for more than 30 years, with remarkable achievements and rich works. From 65438 to 0985, he and his colleagues initiated and founded the magazine "Landscape Technology of Ancient Buildings", which played an important role and made outstanding contributions to inheriting and developing the traditional architectural culture of China. His ancient garden projects are all over the world and are well received by people from all walks of life. His masterpiece "Construction Technology of China Ancient Wood Structure" has been praised by scholars at home and abroad as "the most weighty ancient architecture work in modern China" and "a must-read book for workers engaged in the maintenance and protection of ancient architecture in the motherland", and won many awards. His main works include Beijing Siheyuan Building.

He is currently the director of Beijing Institute of Ancient Architecture Design and the editor-in-chief of the magazine "Ancient Architecture Garden Technology". At the same time, he is the executive director of the Ancient Architecture Garden Committee of China Cultural Relics Society, the academic member of the Architectural History Branch of China Architectural Society, and the director of China Forbidden City Society.
