Nanjing Library is a public library in Jiangsu Province, a national first-class library and a document information resource center in Jiangsu Province. The predecessor of Nanjing Library can be traced back to Jiangnan Library founded by 1907. Nanjing Library has more than 7 million volumes (pieces) of various documents, ranking third in the country, second only to the National Library and the Shanghai Library.

Nanjing Library is an important part of science, education and culture in our province. With the advent of the era of knowledge economy, Nanjing Library, as the guarantee service center and important hub of the province's literature information resources, plays an increasingly prominent role in serving economic construction, popularizing cultural knowledge and disseminating scientific information. In order to meet the needs of the province's cultural and economic development, the Jiangsu provincial government is building a modern Nantu new museum.
