The ancient town of Jiaoxi was listed in the sixth batch of famous Chinese historical and cultural villages and the third batch of traditional villages in China because of its relatively intact ancient villages in the south of the Yangtze River more than 200 years ago. After more than two years of protection and repair, Jiaoxi's charm and vitality have been renewed, and it has fully participated in the joint application of "Jiangnan Water Town".
The ancient Jiaoxi Street is built by the river, and the Longxi River winds eastward. The exquisite and quaint stone arches around the cave bridges such as Qinglong, Xian 'an, Zhong Shi and Sanyuan built in Ming and Qing Dynasties weave beautiful scenery of water towns. The core area of the ancient town is dominated by Ming and Qing architecture, showing a unique spatial pattern of "one river, four bridges, five streets and thirteen lanes".
