China Library Classification first divides human knowledge into three categories: philosophy, social science and natural science. Marxism-Leninism, Mao Zedong Thought and Deng Xiaoping Theory are the theoretical guides of our social practice, ranking first as basic categories, while some books with complex contents that cannot be classified according to the nature of a certain subject are summarized as "comprehensive books" and ranked last as basic categories, thus forming five basic categories of Marxism-Leninism, Mao Zedong Thought and Deng Xiaoping Theory; Philosophy; Social science; Natural science; Comprehensive books. Among them, social science can be subdivided into:
