Qingdao Agricultural University, formerly known as Laiyang Agricultural College, was founded in 195 1. 200 1, Qingdao campus was established with the approval of Shandong provincial government. In March 2007, it was renamed "Qingdao Agricultural University" with the approval of the Ministry of Education, and the school site was changed from Laiyang City to Chengyang District of Qingdao City.
