After the newspaper came out, it actively promoted the idea of resisting Japan and saving the country. Life Daily was founded less than two months ago, and it had a far-reaching impact, which effectively promoted the patriotic salvation movement in southwest China. However, due to the secluded corner of Hong Kong, inconvenient geographical location and blocked information, Zou Taofen announced that it would move to Shanghai for publication as of August 1 day.

On July 3 1936, Zou Taofen, Shen Junru, Tao Xingzhi and Zhang Naiqi jointly published an open letter entitled "Several Basic Conditions and Minimum Requirements for Uniting Against Aggression", further expounding the proposition of the National Salvation Association in resisting the enemy and saving the country.
