1. Readers who hold the Reader's Card of Shanghai Central Library can borrow four books (or magazines) at a time; The loan period is four weeks; The overdue fee for each volume is 0.20 yuan per day. The maximum overdue fee is charged per 200 yuan.

2. When readers borrow books, if they find that the books are defaced, please put forward to the staff in time, and affix the defaced seal to clarify the responsibility, so as to avoid misunderstanding when returning the books. If the book is lost, the compensation shall be 3- 10 times of the original book borrowing price; If the whole set of books is lost, compensation shall be made according to the total price of the whole set of books. Please ask the staff.

3. Each book can be renewed for 28 days. When renewing the loan, you only need to show your reader's card, and you don't need to bring a book. Overdue fees or violation records cannot be renewed. The reader's card of Shanghai Central Library is used for one year. If you want to continue to use it after the expiration of one year, please apply for renewal at the information desk before the end of the use period.
