Shandong Xintai No.1 Middle School is a standardized school in Shandong Province, and maintained the title of provincial civilized unit in 12.
Xintai city No.1 Middle School was founded in 1952, and its old campus is in the former site of Confucian Temple in the city center. The history of the school can be traced back to Pingyang Academy in 1870 (the ninth year of Tongzhi in Qing Dynasty), with profound cultural heritage.
From 2004 to 2007, the school moved to a new campus near Qingyun Lake in the east of the city. Xintai Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government attached great importance to education, and Xintai No.1 Middle School took the lead in promoting the development of education in the city, investing 360 million yuan to build a new campus in No.1 Middle School, which met the needs of the people in the city for their children to receive high-quality high school education.
In August 2007, the Municipal Party Committee and the Municipal Government decided to integrate the original No.1 Middle School, No.3 Middle School, No.4 Middle School and No.5 Middle School into a new Xintai No.1 Middle School. The new school covers an area of 460 mu with a total construction area of 124278m2. It owns 17 administrative office building, teaching building, library science and technology building, sports center and student apartment, with elegant environment, reasonable layout and scientific planning.
The school has 100 classes, 6288 students and 536 faculty members. Among them, there are 365 teachers, senior teachers 127, first-class teachers 160, 4 national and provincial backbone teachers, 2 special-grade teachers, 2 provincial discipline leaders and 28 graduate students.
The school is now a standardized school in Shandong Province, a teaching demonstration school in Shandong Province, a demonstration school for running schools according to law in Shandong Province, a civilized unit in Shandong Province, an advanced grass-roots party organization in Shandong Province, an art education demonstration school in Shandong Province, and an advanced unit in health work in Shandong Province.
It is the "advanced collective" of the national middle school students' mathematics competition, the "gold medal school" of the Chinese physics Olympic Games, and the physics discipline base of high school students in Shandong Province.
After the establishment of the school, governments at all levels and education authorities gave strong support to the school. After several generations of efforts, the school has made great progress in moral education and management, curriculum and teaching, culture and characteristics. By 2022, Xintai No.1 Middle School has become an excellent student source base for more than 40 key universities.
