Northwest Institute of Technology Library was established in 1938. From 65438 to 0952, the library of East China University of Aeronautics and Astronautics was composed of aviation books of Jiaotong University, Nanjing University (formerly Central University) and Zhejiang University. 1956 moved west from Nanjing with the school. From 65438 to 0970, the Department of Aviation Engineering of Harbin Institute of Military Engineering moved to Northwestern Polytechnical University, and its books and materials were also incorporated into the library.

Collection situation

Over the years, according to the requirements of school education, personnel training and discipline construction for literature information, the library has extensively collected printed resources and continuously enriched digital resources, forming a library featuring three navigation (aviation, aerospace and navigation), supported by 3M (materials, machinery and machinery) and 3C (computer, electronic communication and automatic control), taking into account basic disciplines, management, literature, economy and navigation.

The total paper collection has reached more than 3.85 million volumes. There are about 5,000 historical materials and about 50,000 dissertations on Jiang Aviation. There are more than 1.92 million electronic books in Chinese and foreign languages, about 57,000 electronic periodicals in Chinese and foreign languages, and more than 1.37 million dissertations at home and abroad.

In 2022, the library of Northwestern Polytechnical University has 164 kinds of databases and 48 1 sub-databases: 66 kinds of Chinese databases and 252 sub-databases; Chinese and foreign video database 10, with 57 sub-databases (5 in Chinese, 30 in foreign languages and 27 in foreign languages); There are 88 foreign language databases, 172 sub-databases.
