What are the listening skills of Band 6?
Listening requirements of CET-6 are:

Familiar with the subject matter, the sentence structure is not complicated, there are basically no new words, and the speech speed is from 150 to 170 words per minute. You can grasp the main idea, grasp the main points and related details, understand the speaker's views and attitudes, and analyze, reason and judge clearly.

Intuitively speaking, the recording speed of the listening part of Band 6 is faster than that of Band 4 10-20 words/minute. Under the same examination time, some essays can have 20-30 more words each. Small conversations can sometimes become very lengthy. Although there is only one message in the end, there will be a little more information in the conversation. The addition of disturbing information will greatly increase the difficulty of the exam.

The weaknesses of candidates and the gap between candidates mainly include the following points:

Insensitive to words, phrases or sentences, unfamiliar, and not quick enough to respond.

The main reason is that many candidates study only for the sake of coping with exams, not for the purpose of mastering a language. So the learning process is perfunctory and passive, and I am not that interested. Besides knowing some basic words, I can't understand the whole meaning when I hear others speak English, and I can't express my thoughts in my head. When listening to English, I will only listen word by word, and I can't understand the meaning of the whole paragraph.

Corresponding methods for preparing for the CET-6 exam:

Candidates need to strengthen their familiarity with English vocabulary.

First of all, in daily study, we should listen more, write more and speak more, and attribute English learning to our own interests instead of coping with exams.

Secondly, in the choice of learning materials, pay attention to the paragraphs of the article rather than just memorizing words or articles.

Finally, many school libraries regularly broadcast some English movies with Chinese subtitles, which is very helpful for everyone's study. Friends who have time can often go to see it, which will greatly improve their listening.
