Expansion: Library Resources-Local Literature

Local literature refers to all publications that record the history, politics, economy, culture and education of the region, including books, magazines, newspapers, pictures, photographs, films, pictures, records, rubbings, forms, leaflets, manuscripts and other carrier forms. After more than ten years' efforts, Hebei Provincial Library has collected more than 30,000 kinds of materials and tens of thousands of books about Hebei's local history, economy and culture since the establishment of the local literature collection department (ancient books and local literature department) in the 1990s. The collection and preservation of these materials have left precious historical materials for this land of Zhao Yan, which has important reference value for studying Hebei's politics, economy, culture and other fields.

Due to the wide distribution channels of local documents, the information is difficult to grasp, and the awareness of collection and preservation of various social departments is indifferent, which leads to the serious loss of this precious document. To this end, the provincial library not only vigorously publicized to all walks of life, but also jointly organized some activities with some units and organizations, including joint donations with Hebei Writers Association, Entrepreneurs Association and Party History Office of the Provincial Party Committee, which received good social effects. At present, the local literature collection in our province has undoubtedly become the most comprehensive and informative collection unit in the province. At the same time, it also formed its own unique collection and characteristics.

Hebei Writers' Collection: In 2005 and 20 1 1 year, the provincial library cooperated with Hebei Writers' Association twice and jointly proposed that members of Hebei Writers' Association donate their works to Hebei Library. The effect is good. At present, the special collection of Hebei writers in the provincial library has reached a certain scale. Include that anthology of Tie Ning, chairman of the Chinese writers Association, and the work of Guan Renshan, chairman of the provincial writers Association. Recently, Yu Xu, vice chairman of the Provincial Federation of Literary and Art Circles and a famous calligrapher, presented his works, inkstones, rulers and pens to the provincial library for collection.

Special Collection of Government Information: Since the State promulgated the Regulations on the Openness of Government Information in People's Republic of China (PRC), provincial libraries have begun to undertake the functions of opening and consulting government information. So far, the provincial museum has collected the government public information of dozens of departments and bureaus in the province, as well as the electronic version of the information.

Collection of local chronicles: local chronicles mainly focus on regions, and comprehensively record the history and present situation of natural and social aspects in the region, including territory, geography, evolution, products, customs, social politics, economy and culture. There are 100 cities and counties (districts) in Hebei province. Since the first round of compilation of local chronicles was carried out nationwide in 1980s, all counties in Hebei Province have basically completed the publication of local chronicles. The second round of local chronicles compilation began at the beginning of this century, and all the published local chronicles are collected in our library. Up to now, there are more than 200 newly compiled local chronicles in Hebei Library. Together with the old local chronicles, the local chronicles revised during the Republic of China and the local chronicles photocopied in the early years of the founding of the People's Republic of China, the old local chronicles of our province photocopied and published by Taiwan Province Wencheng Publishing House have begun to take shape.
