The library of Shandong University of Science and Technology was formerly the book group of Hongshan Coal Mine Industrial School of the Ministry of Fuel Industry of the Central People's Government, which was founded in 195 1. 1953, Hongshan Coal Mine Industrial School was moved to Huainan City, Anhui Province and renamed Huainan Coal Mine School. Huainan coal mine school library was formally established 1954, and the curator responsibility system was implemented. 1963 Huainan Institute of Mining moved to Jinan and merged with Shandong Institute of Coal Mining established in 1956. 197 1, Taian Coal Mine School was merged into Shandong Coal Mine College and renamed Shandong Mining Institute. The school moved from Jinan to Taian, and Jinan set up branch schools and libraries respectively. From 65438 to 0999, Shandong Institute of Mining and Shandong Institute of Coal Education merged to form Shandong University of Science and Technology. 200 1, Shandong Finance School was merged into Shandong University of Science and Technology. In 2004, the main body of Shandong University of Science and Technology moved to Qingdao Campus, and the Qingdao Campus Library was established on March 16. In April 2007, Shandong University of Science and Technology was registered as Qingdao Economic and Technological Development Zone, with campuses in Tai 'an and Jinan respectively. It consists of Qingdao Campus Library, Tai 'an Campus Library and Jinan Campus Library.
