Mainly engaged in the teaching and research of China's modern history, China's people's history and national history. The main research direction is the history of modern thoughts in China. Since 2002, it has been recruiting and guiding graduate students majoring in modern history in China.
The course offered to graduate students is mainly "Seminar on the History of Modern Thoughts in China".
He presided over or participated in 7 social science research projects of the State, Ministry of Education, Beijing and Capital Normal University, and published more than 30 academic papers. At present, he is presiding over the later funded project History of Modern Democratic Thought in China (1840- 1949). The monograph "Research on Democratic Thought in the Thirty Years after the May 4th Movement" was published by the Commercial Press, and the co-author "Debate Research in the 20th Century: Debate on the Study of Historical Figures in China" was published by Jiangxi Baihuazhou Literature and Art Publishing House.
