Qixia No.4 Middle School is a key high school in Shandong Province, a gold medal school for middle school students in Shandong Province, a star school in Yantai City and an advanced high school for eugenics training in Yantai City. The school is located at the foot of Ling Ying Mountain, a famous revolutionary martyr cemetery in Jiaodong, the beautiful and rich apple capital of China, and in the west of Taocun Town, a traffic town in Qixia City. It raised funds for Mr Soong Ching Ling to establish the former site of Jiaodong International Peace Hospital, which is outstanding.

The conditions for running a school are unique. Qixia No.4 Middle School, founded in 1956, covers an area of 180 mu and has12,000 square meters of teaching buildings, office buildings, science and technology buildings, art buildings, libraries, canteens, student apartments and so on. The building area is 50,000 square meters.

The library has a collection of 72,000 books, and it is a campus network with multimedia classrooms, teachers' lesson preparation centers, computer centers, foreign language transmitting stations, ground satellite receiving stations and office automation systems as the main body. Physical, chemical and biological experiments, as well as art and sports training facilities, have reached the national first-class standards.
