History of Dongshan Lake Park in Guangzhou
Before 1958, the original site was stinking swamps and vegetable fields. From April 8, 65438 to April 8, 0958, at the initiative of Mayor Zhu Guang, people from all walks of life in Dongshan District began to build parks through voluntary labor. In May of the following year, 12 was initially completed and opened, and it was named Dongshan Lake Park.

1962 was named Yangcheng-one of the new eight scenic spots of East Lake in Xiao Chun. During the Cultural Revolution, the park covered an area of 23.89 hectares. In the park 100, more than one street lamp with dragon, phoenix and dove patterns was smashed. 1972, the municipal government allocated funds to rebuild all light poles and transform flower stands, waterside pavilions and rest pavilions in the park; 1979, expand the floating restaurant and increase recreational facilities such as yachts; Since 198 1 year, the garden has held chrysanthemum exhibitions and Spring Festival every year.
