Nanchencun Primary School in Xingtai, Hebei Province practices internal skills outside.
Nanchencun Primary School is located in the suburb of Xingtai City, Hebei Province, and is a suburban primary school. Due to the lack of understanding of the quality of teaching in rural schools and the proximity of Chen Nan Village to towns, many parents send their children to schools in cities. School 150 students, 16 teachers. Although the sparrow is small, it has all aspects. Nanchen Village Primary School is small in scale, but it also has big dreams. The school has drawn a beautiful arc in its attempts and "run-up" in the past year.

At the beginning of the year, when I took office in Nanchengcun Primary School, the school was still "short of arms and legs" in the construction of software and hardware facilities. On the one hand, school hardware facilities can't keep up, students can't drink hot water, and most classrooms have no heating in winter; On the other hand, teachers can't see the hope of school development, and they say no and have no enthusiasm for work. To overcome these difficulties, it is not enough to rely on the strength of the school itself. So, we began to try to practice internal strength with external force.

When the school was first established, it used water from the water tower in the village. Later, because the school was far away from the water tower and the terrain was high, the villagers used more water, and the school faucet never flowed out. This has been the case for more than ten years. Later, the school bought a water pump, drilled a well and pumped water from the well for later use. However, due to the weather, students' drinking water is still a problem. At this time, Beijing Thanksgiving Charity Foundation is launching the "One School, One Dream" public welfare project to help rural schools in need realize their dreams. I got in touch with the person in charge of the public welfare project, and got the help of Beijing Thanksgiving Public Welfare Foundation and the "One School, One Dream" project, and raised funds online to build a school drinking water device, so that students can finally drink clean hot water and solve the water problem in the laboratory. The heating problem of school classrooms has also been satisfactorily solved.

In the former Nanchencun Primary School, books were piled up in cabinets like files, and the utilization rate of books in the school was very low, so it was difficult to find a book. A school without reading is unimaginable, and the school's "internal strength" cultivation is also inseparable from reading. So, in the first half of the year, the school established a library and realized computer management. Due to the large number of books donated by Beijing Western Sunshine Foundation, the books in the library have changed their old appearance. The appearance of new books has also aroused students' enthusiasm for reading, and students will rush to the library to read their favorite books during recess. In a small-scale rural school like Nanchencun Primary School, teachers are not interested in reading because they seldom touch books outside textbooks. In order to improve teachers' reading ability, I often share my reading experience with teachers at the regular meeting every Friday, and launch a reading salon to encourage teachers to read more.

In addition, in order to cultivate students' book-loving consciousness and enhance their sense of responsibility, the school implements a library self-management system, with students as librarians, who are responsible for borrowing and recording books. The school also organizes students to collectively study book management methods in Xingtai Library, so that students can master student management skills.

At present, the school has set up characteristic school-based courses and is catching up with the pace of quality education step by step. The school adheres to the educational concept of educating people and respects the individual development of students. The substitute exhibition boards in the library are a portrayal of the characteristic development of our small-scale rural schools.
