Hunan University of Technology (hereinafter referred to as Hunan University of Technology) is a full-time ordinary institution of higher learning sponsored by the Hunan Provincial People's Government and headed by the Hunan Provincial Department of Education. [1] is the first member unit accepted by the International Packaging Association (IAPRI) in China, the director unit of the Packaging Education Committee of China Packaging Federation, and the only vice-president units of China Packaging Federation and China Packaging Technology Training Center in universities all over the country. The school is located in Zhuzhou City and is currently serving. [2] The school motto is "being wise and knowledgeable, being harmonious but different".

Hunan University of Technology is a comprehensive university featuring packaging education. As of June 14, 2022, the school has two campuses with a total area of 3,853.7 mu, 22 teaching colleges and 1 independent colleges, 1 doctoral degree authorization points, 19 first-class master's degree points and 83 undergraduate majors.
