Shandan has the most completely preserved historical relics such as the Great Wall of Han Ming, beacon towers and ancient castles, the largest clay tire in the room, the Great Buddha Temple where the golden Buddha sits, and the most beautiful religious relics such as Zhongshan Temple in the world, which have high ornamental value. More than ten tourist attractions, such as Racecourse Grassland, Yan Zhi, Hanming Great Wall, Big Buddha Temple, Hutong Donation Cultural Relics Exhibition Hall, Great Wall Exhibition Hall and Nanhu Park, have been developed and built.

Tufosi

Shandan has a long history of Buddhist culture. Located 5 kilometers west of the county seat, the Great Buddha Temple, formerly known as Tufo Temple, was founded in the Northern Wei Dynasty and has a history of 1500 years. The temple sits west facing east and is built on the mountain, covering an area of more than 10,000 square meters. The temple is divided into a vestibule and a backyard. The main building, the Daxiong Hall, is a pavilion with a glazed tile roof of all-wood structure. It is 39 meters high, with cornices and arches. A plastic statue of Sakyamuni's lecture is 35 meters high, lifelike, elegant and lifelike. In particular, the giant Buddha is covered with 600,000 pieces of gold foil worth 2.4 million RMB, which makes the Buddha statue more brilliant and honorable, and is praised as the first Buddha in the world by the Buddhist circles at home and abroad.

Yan zhishan

Rouge Mountain is also a scenic tourist area. Yan Zhi, also known as Yan Zhishan or Yueshi Mountain, is a provincial forest park with Qilian Mountain and Longshou Mountain in the north and south, with an altitude of 29 19 meters and a main peak of 3978 meters. There are abundant aquatic plants here, which have been natural pastures since ancient times and are the main water conservation forest land in China. The terrain is dangerous and the peaks are prominent, which is an important military location in ancient and modern times. In the fifth year of the Great Cause of Sui Dynasty (609), Emperor Yang Di went west and met the envoys of 27 countries in the western regions at the foot of Yan Zhishan. Gansu and Liangzhou governments sent a chorus of men and women to meet him at the intersection, which was recorded in the history books.

Alleys and Heck Cemetery

Alley and Heke Cemetery is located on the north bank of Shandan River, south of Shandan County, in the northwest corner of Nanguan Primary School, covering an area of 2,625.78 square meters. Alley and Heke Cemetery were originally Heke Cemetery, which was built in July 1945 and rebuilt in June 1979. Alley regarded Shandan as his second hometown before his death. After Alley's death, the Shandan County Party Committee and the People's County Government of Shandan County began to expand the cemetery on 1986 to commemorate this great internationalist fighter. The cemetery is an imitation Western-style building.

Marans, Shandan Army

Shandan Military Horse Farm is located in Damaying Grassland, Qilian Mountain, 55 kilometers south of Shandan County, Zhangye District. After the disintegration of the Don River Racecourse in the former Soviet Union, Shandan Military Racecourse is the oldest and largest racetrack in the world.

Shandan Horse Racing Farm is located in the middle of Hexi Corridor, in Damaying Grassland at the northern foot of Lenglongling in Qilian Mountain, which spans Gansu and Qinghai provinces and is adjacent to three cities (states) and six counties, with a total area of 3,295,400 mu, including grassland1849,800 mu, cultivated land of 403,000 mu, forest land of 800,000 mu and other 242,600 mu, with an altitude of 2,000 meters.

Hamming Great Wall

The Hamming Great Wall, which stretches for more than 100 kilometers in the county, is the most complete plug-ditch Han Great Wall and earth-built rammed Ming Great Wall in Gansu Province, and is praised by experts as the "Open-air Great Wall Museum".

Shandan Buddhist temple

Shandan Buddhist Temple was originally named Tufo Temple. After several generations, the temple has experienced military disasters and wars, reconstruction and rise and fall. According to historical records, it was repaired six times during the 440 years from the fifth year of Ming Dynasty (1440) to the thirteenth year of Guangxu (1887). Ming Yingzong Zhu Qizhen once wrote the word "Tufo" for the temple, and the quota was hung in it.

"Shandan County Records" contains: Shandan sits on the Buddha "thirteen feet high". Now the temple has been rebuilt in recent years. This temple is located in the west and east, and it is built on the mountain. Covering area 1 10,000 square meters. The temple is divided into a vestibule and a backyard, and 120 odd quaint and elegant houses adorn it.

Rouge Mountain Forest Park

Rouge Mountain Forest Park is located 45 kilometers southeast of Shandan County, facing Qilian Mountain across the Ma Jun Prairie, with an area of 680 square kilometers and an altitude of 29 19 meters. Mount He Miaomiao, the main peak, is 3978 meters above sea level. It is a provincial forest park. Rouge Mountain, also known as Rouge Mountain and Dahuangshan Mountain, has a long history, because it is rich in red orchids in ancient times.

Xinhe post office

Located at the foot of the Hamming Great Wall, 20 kilometers southeast of Shandan County, it is a newly developed tourist attraction. The site of the Great Wall in Shandan County is well preserved, and the east and west walls stretch. Xinhe Post Office is located 2.5 kilometers east of milestone 2642 at the intersection of the Great Wall and the expressway. This used to be an ancient post station in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. The existing site is a square earth fort with a side length of 70 meters and a total area of 4900. The wall is 3 meters wide at the top and 5 meters wide at the bottom. The loess is compacted and a post well is built in the wall.

Longshou Mountain Nature Reserve

Located in Shandan County, Gansu Province, east longitude 100 degrees 55 minutes-north latitude10/kloc-0 degrees, with an area of 25.6 square kilometers. Longshou Mountain is a part of Beishan Mountain in Hexi Corridor, with an altitude of 2 100-3439 meters. Its climate belongs to continental desert climate and continental grassland climate. Its main protection objects are Picea crassifolia and its forest ecological environment. There are rock sheep, goose throat antelope, lynx, grassland eagle, golden eagle, Tibetan-bellied snow chicken, kite and other national key protected animals in the area.
