What are the guiding methods for graded reading of children's literature?
When it comes to buying a book for children, I believe that parents and friends will have similar experiences and feelings:

Children aged 3-4 can't read much, so parents choose picture books. However, due to busy work, I didn't have time to accompany my children to study. As a result, my children just flipped through it and threw it aside.

Children aged 4-6 are in the stage of young convergence. In order to make children more literate, most parents will buy some short fairy tales with pinyin. As a result, children can't stand reading because they are full of words, or although they know or know how to read words in pinyin, they can't understand the content of the article.

Children aged 6-8 just entered primary school, reciting texts and doing homework ... Well, the children were tired enough, so I took them to the bookstore to choose for themselves. When I arrived at the bookstore, I found that they only stared at comic books and the like.

Because of the different physiological and psychological characteristics of children at different ages, children's reading nature and reading ability are not exactly the same at different growth stages. However, looking at the current book market, it seems that only one age group is suitable for Chinese reading: "suitable for children aged 0 to 3". On the contrary, English books have all kinds of graded reading materials.

After consulting a large number of literature research materials, children's literacy research materials and children's reading research materials, we found that English graded reading materials are mostly based on 26 letters, so that children can know that each English pronunciation corresponds to an English letter or word, and then let them decode English words smoothly. However, children's Chinese reading needs to go through a relatively long and difficult process of reading pictures, literacy, word formation, sentence formation and text reading, which also leads to a problem, that is, although they are in the same age group, their literacy ability is quite different. As a result, parents don't even know what their children's reading level is and what kind of books my children are suitable for.

In California, pre-school education and primary schools have requirements for testing children's reading level, relevant achievements and records, and selecting books according to their reading level. In China, although literacy and reading have always been the focus of parents' attention, many parents are teaching literacy. As a result, some children can't read the text or understand the application problems even though they have known hundreds of Chinese characters before entering school.

At the end of the 20th century, children's "reading ability" training program has become an important part of the educational reform policies of many governments. 1997-2000, a research report by the National Institute of America triggered an international early reading revolution. The Early Reading Committee is led by Katherine Si Nuo, an internationally renowned child linguist at Harvard University's Institute of Education, and is composed of eight famous scholars from North America/KLOC-0. After three years of systematic research, the international research results on reading education have been integrated and the theory of children's reading grading has been established. This research project begins with the prevention of children's reading difficulties. The wave of international educational circles attaching importance to and advocating early reading education has spread to many countries in the world.

In response to the State Council's "China Children's Development Program (2011-2020)", the call of "promoting the grading system for children's books, providing books suitable for children of different ages and providing suggestions and guidance for parents to choose books" was made. Since 20 13, Eggshell Conservatory of Music, the leading brand of children's graded Chinese reading, has set up a teaching and research team from the preschool education center of Beijing Normal University and the Institute of Child Psychology of China Academy of Sciences. By fully studying the physiology and learning psychology of children in China and integrating the top art and music production teams in China, it has specially created a set of original reading materials suitable for children aged 3-8 in China. Moreover, on the basis of classified reading materials covering more than 30 topics such as popular science, lesson preparation, socialization, economic management and multiculturalism, "Eggshell Conservatory of Music" has also developed corresponding animation courses and application expressions for each reading material, which can be watched, followed and practiced simply by scanning the books through mobile phones or PADs.

"Eggshell" series of reading materials and courses is the first set of Chinese graded reading learning materials in China. When "Junior One" was published, it was well received by the publishing industry, preschool education experts and all walks of life. It has been introduced into classroom teaching as a characteristic course of "Language Skills Learning" by nearly 1,000 preschool education institutions in China.
