Guangxi Institute of Technology generally refers to Guangxi University of Science and Technology.
Guangxi University of Science and Technology is located in Liuzhou, a famous historical and cultural city in China and a pilot city for the integration of industrialization and informatization in China. It is an authorized unit of bachelor's degree and master's degree approved by the State Council Academic Degrees Committee, and a pilot university of "Excellent Doctoral Education and Training Program" directly under the People's Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. 20 13 was approved by the Academic Degrees Committee of the autonomous region, and it was officially confirmed as a new doctoral degree awarding unit for the construction of the 20 13-20 18 project. It is a multidisciplinary institution of higher learning with emphasis on engineering, management, science, economy, literature, law, art, education and medicine.
The school was approved by the Ministry of Education on April 20 18, 2003, and was formed by the merger of the former Guangxi Institute of Technology and the former Liuzhou Medical College. Guangxi Institute of Technology was founded in 1958, merged with Guangxi Institute of Light Industry, Guangxi Institute of Mechanical Industry and Guangxi Institute of Petrochemical Technology in 1982, and moved from Nanning to Liuzhou in 1985. Liuzhou Medical College was founded in 195 1, and was upgraded to Liuzhou Medical College with the approval of the Ministry of Education in 2003.
As of May 20 14, the school has three campuses, namely Donghuan, Liushi and Liu Dong (under construction), covering an area of nearly 4,700 mu. There are 16 secondary colleges, 30 departments (centers) and 4 affiliated hospitals; Full-time teachers 1200, including 64 undergraduates and 8 specialists. It enrolls students from 29 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities), with more than 25,000 full-time undergraduates, junior college students, graduate students and international students.
