Changsha Library is located in the Riverside Cultural Park in the Xinhe Delta of Changsha, bordering Xiangjiang River in the west and Liuyang River in the north, with beautiful scenery and superior geographical location. The building area is 31320m2, the building height is 24.5m, and it has 5 floors. The existing collection of books is 6,543,800+0,000 volumes. During the trial opening period, the service hall on the first floor, the newspaper lending room on the second floor, the youth lending room on the third floor and the social science literature lending room on the fourth floor are open to the public, and the opening hours are from 9 am to 5 pm every day. Changsha Library is a municipal public library sponsored by Changsha Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government. It is a public welfare scientific and educational institution that provides literature information services for party and government organs at all levels, enterprises and institutions and the general public. In 2004, it was rated as a national second-class library by the Ministry of Culture and won the title of provincial civilized library. Changsha Library is also one of the three public libraries in Changsha (the other two libraries are Hunan Library and Hunan Children's Library).
