Lan Shaosheng is the pseudonym used by the author of the first wonderful book Jin Ping Mei, also known as Jin Ping Mei in Ming Dynasty. The true identity of this man has become a historical mystery. Twenty years later, Jin Ping Mei wrote that "The Biography of Jin Ping Mei is a huge apartment in the World Temple". Shen Ming Telford's Wanli Wild Collection says that he was "written by a famous man between Jiajing and Jiajing".

As the first writer who independently created long vernacular novels in the history of China literature, Lan Ling Xiao Sheng's novel creation reached an unprecedented height. His novel Jin Ping Mei is centered on the description of civilians and secularism, which is the first time for literati to write novels with real social life as the theme.

The life of the character

The first fantastic book, Jin Ping Mei, was written in the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty, and is famous for its forbidden books and fantastic books. Jin Ping Mei has unique literary value and artistic achievements. From 65438 to 0932, Beiping Library obtained Amin Edition of Jin Ping Mei Hua Thorn from Jiexiu, Shanxi. Therefore, it is also called Jiexiu version of Jin Ping Mei in academic circles, and it is now in the National Palace Museum in Taipei.

This edition was published in A.D. 16 17. It is the earliest carved edition found so far, and its content is closer to the original work. Before engraving, there is a preface signed by Xinzi Xin. The first sentence says "A Biography of Jin Ping Mei by Lan Shaosheng", which means that the author of the book is "Lan Shaosheng".

"Lanling" is the county hope, and "Xiaoxiaosheng" is the author. Therefore, the last sentence of the preface is "I often say: Xiao Xiaosheng is like a biography, and it is called." This provides a new clue for people to study the author of Jin Ping Mei.

Lanling Town, Lanling County, Shandong Province and Wujin County, Jiangsu Province were called "Lanling" in ancient times, but judging from the extensive use of Shandong dialect in the book, the author should be from Shandong, not Wujin County, Jiangsu Province.

Identity textual research

"Lan Xiaosheng" is just a pseudonym. Why do people? At the back of the preface, there is a postscript to Jin Ping Mei written by 20 Gong. The first sentence of The Postscript of Twenty Gong says: "The biography of Jin Ping Mei is a statement of a huge apartment in the World Temple." Shen Ming Telford's "Wan Li Ye Bian" is said to have been written by a famous person in Jiajing period. In other words, "Xiao Shaosheng" was a "giant man" and "great celebrity" in Jiajing period of Ming Dynasty.
