In order to make more effective use of book resources and provide readers with a better reading environment, on May 4, 2008, the municipal party committee and government decided to merge the library of Jiyuan Vocational and Technical College with the library of Jiyuan City. One institution has two brands, Jiyuan Library is placed in the Technical College, and its business is under the dual management of the Municipal Bureau of Culture and Broadcasting and the Technical College. The funds are subject to full financial budget management. The integrated Jiyuan Library (Jiyuan Vocational and Technical College Library) ensures the promotion of urban social and cultural service functions and the strengthening of the college's teaching and scientific research service capabilities. It pioneered the cooperation between public libraries and university libraries in Henan Province.
