Soviet Martyrs Cemetery is located in the north of Ang Ang Creek Railway Station. The cemetery is 122 meters long and 60 meters wide from north to south, covering an area of 7320 square meters. The cemetery is mainly composed of a memorial tower for Soviet martyrs and sixteen tombs of martyrs. 1On August 8, 945, the Soviet Union declared war on Japan according to the Yalta Agreement, and the Soviet Red Army entered the northeast in four ways to counterattack the Japanese invaders. On August 13, the second and third Soviet troops fought fiercely with the Japanese in Ang Ang Creek and Yushutun. During the whole war, * * * had 126 heroic Soviet Red Army officers and men who died gloriously on the land of China for the anti-fascist cause of China and the Soviet Union and for the liberation of Northeast China from Japanese imperialism. In order to commemorate and cherish their memory, the Soviet Red Army Martyrs Cemetery was built in the north of Angangxi Railway Station, and the remains of the martyrs were buried. Every year in Tomb-Sweeping Day, people from Ang Ang Creek spontaneously go to the cemetery to pay homage to the tomb of the martyrs. The cemetery has now become a base for patriotism and internationalism education. There are many Russian style buildings around the cemetery. These centuries-old Russian-style railway stations, clubs, houses and locomotive depot workshops constitute Russian-style buildings and are the only Russian-style areas in Qiqihar.
