Wuhan Intermediate People's Court, formerly known as Wuhan Municipal People's Government Court, was established on June 1949. 1955 1 officially changed its name to Wuhan Intermediate People's Court, and accepted the trial supervision and professional guidance of Hubei Higher People's Court. The new office building of Wuhan Intermediate People's Court was completed in 2004. It consists of office building 13, trial building 12 and administration building. The whole building area is clearly divided, and three buildings with different heights form a U-shaped overall structure with unique architectural style. There are 30 digital courts on floors 0/to 4 of the trial building/KLOC-0, which is the trial area, including the 1 Grand Court, which can accommodate 450 people, and the 1 foreign court, which specializes in hearing international trade disputes. The newly-built video command center can not only realize the whole video surveillance and live broadcast of 30 digital courts in our hospital, but also watch the images of trial and live execution of 15 grass-roots courts in real time. There is an archive room above the courtroom, which can store 350,000 volumes of files, and there is also a library, which now has more than 30,000 books mainly on law. The east-west office building is the office area of each trial court and comprehensive department.

Wuhan Intermediate People's Court has 15 judicial departments: filing court 1, filing court 2, criminal court 1, criminal court 2, civil court 1, civil court 2, civil court 3, civil court 4, intellectual property and international trade dispute court, administrative court, trial supervision court, executive board and so on. There are eight comprehensive functional departments, including office, political department, judicial administrative equipment department, research room, supervision room, trial management office, party Committee office and retired cadre department, and two trial auxiliary departments, namely judicial police detachment and judicial appraisal department.
