University of Bridgeport University, founded in 1927, was the first junior college in the northeastern states of the United States, presided over the largest engineering graduate program in Connecticut, and was the only doctoral degree awarding point in computer science and engineering in New England. The campus of Qiaogang University covers an area of 50 mu. Among the 75 buildings of Qiaogang University in the United States, there are family-style dormitories, modern classroom equipment, libraries and computer centers.

University of bridgeport is recognized by the New England Association of Colleges and Universities and the Connecticut Higher Education Department.

According to the commentary of US News and World Report 20 10, university of bridgeport belongs to Tier2 University.
