What is Ray's identity?
Zhang Ruitu (1570~ 164 1), a native of Jinjiang, Fujian, like Dong Qichang, was an outstanding painter and calligrapher in the late Ming Dynasty. He had explored under the sea of flowers, and was a college official and a senior official, and then he succumbed to eunuch Wei Zhongxian's Yin Wei. After Emperor Chongzhen ascended the throne and Wei Zhongxian was executed, Zhang Ruitu died of fear. Because of the inscription of Wei Zhongxian shrine, he was redeemed and moved by the people, and spent his old age under great mental pressure. Zhang Ruitu is a revolutionary and innovative master in the history of calligraphy art in China. His pen and ink lines are stirring and jumping, his temperament is free and easy, and his style is magnificent, forming a very personalized "crazy Zen" style, which has a far-reaching impact on future generations. Most of his landscape paintings use side strokes, and the brush Jun Fang engraves precipitously, and the pen and ink are vigorous and powerful, which has a dull and quiet aesthetic feeling. Works handed down from ancient times include Looking at the Mountain Map and so on.
