Puxin Expressway starts from Puyang City, connects Pufan Expressway, passes through Dongming, Heze and Cao Xian in Shandong Province, Quan Min, Ningling, Suixian, Zhecheng, Lu Yi, Dancheng and Shenqiu in Henan Province, Linquan and Funan in Anhui Province, Huaibin, Gushi and Shangcheng in Henan Province, Macheng, Luotian and Wuxue in Hubei Province, and connects with Yangxin Hangrui Expressway in Hubei Province.
The expressway has successively crossed many national and provincial expressways such as Puyang to Fanxian, Heze to Dongming, Rizhao to Lankao, Lianyungang to Horgos and Shangqiu to Zhoukou, with a total length of 700 kilometers, passing through 23 counties and cities, with an area of about 40,000 square kilometers and a population of about 23 million.
Puyang-Yangxin Expressway (hereinafter referred to as Puxin Expressway) starts from Puyang, Henan Province in the north and ends in Yangxin, Hubei Province in the south, with a total length of about 700 kilometers. Located at the junction of Central Plains Economic Zone, the middle reaches of the Yangtze River, Bohai Economic Zone and Shandong Peninsula Blue Economic Zone. The starting point is the intersection of Puyang City and Taihui Expressway.
It passes through Henan, Shandong and Anhui, reaches Yangxin, Hubei, and intersects with several national and provincial expressways, forming another inter-provincial north-south passage between Henan, Shandong, Anhui and Hubei.
Construction was announced on June 28th, 20021year. In 2022, the first phase of Xiangyang section of Yangxin Expressway was opened to traffic. In September, 2022, at the construction site of the railway overpass across Xinyan in Heze section of Puxin Expressway, construction workers were carrying out hoisting operations.
