Southwestern University of Finance and Economics is in Chengdu, Sichuan. Southwestern University of Finance and Economics is a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education and the first batch of "double first-class" universities in China.

The school has two campuses, Guanghua and Liulin, with a jurisdiction area of more than 2,300 mu. Campus is a famous "garden-style college" and an ideal garden for reading and studying. The school has 28 colleges (centers) and other teaching units, with 4 1 undergraduate majors.

The school has 1 national teacher teaching development demonstration center, 3 national experimental teaching demonstration centers and 1 national comprehensive professional reform pilot project. The Economist and Caijing, sponsored by the school, were respectively rated as well-known journals of social sciences in colleges and universities in China. The English academic journal "Financial Innovation" was founded, becoming the first academic journal in the financial field in China in recent ten years to be included by SSCI. It has a modern digital library with rich collections and is also the largest financial literature center in Southwest China.
