For 40 years, ibby has set a theme every year to carry out reading activities among children all over the world. The theme of "Book Day" is "The light of books, books are the windows of the world, books are the sun of peace, books are fireflies in the dark, books are the stories of yesterday and the secrets of tomorrow, and books are my magic eye", which has promoted the reading of children of different countries, nationalities and skin colors and influenced the growth of children from generation to generation. With the support of the Ministry of Education and the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League, the China Children's Book Promotion Association of ibby China Branch introduced the International Children's Book Festival to China, and designated April 2nd as "China Children's Reading Day" every year, and carried out a series of activities for this purpose, aiming at building a bridge between children and books, so that children in China can be on the same reading starting line as children in the world, thus promoting children's reading in China, leading children's growth in China and promoting education and teaching reform.
