1992, Liaoning People's Publishing House was named as an advanced collective in the national publishing front by the Ministry of Personnel and the Press and Publication Administration. 1994 was rated as a national excellent publishing house by the Propaganda Department of the CPC and the General Administration of Press and Publication. 1995 In May, it was awarded the honorary title of advanced collective by Liaoning Provincial People's Government; 1997, named as the advanced collective of China press and publication system by the General Administration of Press and Publication, has established a distinct image in the publishing industry in China. Over the past 60 years, Liaoning People's Publishing House has been adhering to the historical mission of cultural publishing institutions, being determined to be realistic and enterprising, constantly bringing forth the old and bringing forth the new, and contributing many excellent books to the society and readers. In recent years, major political theories and personages' works, such as History of China's Reform and Opening-up, Theory of Governing the Country by Morality, and foreign language reference books, such as Parents' Letters, Literature and History Series, Economic Theory, Xiamen University Accounting Series Textbooks, New Economic Books, New Japan-China Dictionary and A Dream of Red Mansions, have been published. By the end of 2006, Liaoning People's Publishing House had won more than 400 outstanding book awards at or above the provincial level. Among them, it has won the China Book Award 10 times; Published Deng Xiaoping's life and thought research series (20 kinds), China's national capacity report, China's human rights series (4 kinds), 12 large-scale documentary Mao Zedong, Deng Xiaoping's A Record of China's Reform and Opening-up, The History of the Red Army's Long March and For the Ideal-Times and other historical relics won Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China's "Five One Project". The History of the Red Army's Long March also won another highest honor awarded by China Book Industry-the National Book Award. In addition, General Philosophy, China Library and History of Reform and Opening-up in China were nominated for the National Book Award respectively. General Theory of China Ancient Literature was nominated for the first China Excellent Publications Book Award.
