The National General Bibliography is a comprehensive and serial book catalogue with the nature of a book yearbook, which is compiled according to the sample books submitted to the China Map Library by the official publishing units in China every year. Since the founding of the People's Republic of China, it has been published year by year, which comprehensively and systematically reflects the annual publication of books in China.

National Bibliography (2003) consists of three volumes, namely, classified catalogue, thematic catalogue and appendix. The Classified Catalogue includes Chinese books, including foreign books translated into Chinese and published in China; "Special Catalogue" includes the catalogue of books in minority languages and foreign languages; "Appendix" includes the catalogue of national publications and the index of titles. This book contains 1 10 144 first edition and revised edition books published in 2003 (subject to the publication time recorded in the book copyright page).

The national bibliography is arranged according to the classification system of China Library Classification (4th edition) and recorded according to the national standard "Description Rules for Ordinary Books". Before the text is the statistical table of book classification in the national general bibliography in 2003.

It can be searched according to the catalogue and title index.
