What is Pippendu?
Pippendu is a museum in France.

The full name of Georges Pompidou Art Center is Georges-Pompidou National Art and Culture Center, which is a modern art museum located in the Beaubourg district of Paris. 1972 started, 1977 was completed, and it opened in February of the same year. The whole building covers an area of 7,500 square meters, with a building area of 654.38+10,000 square meters and 6 floors above ground. The whole building is divided into four parts: industrial creation center, popular knowledge library, modern art museum and music and sound coordination research center. The designers are Italian R. piano and American R. Rogers, who are the winners of the 68 1 scheme in 49 countries. The central building is168m long, 60m wide and 42m high from north to south, and is divided into six floors. The support of the building consists of two rows of steel pipe columns with a spacing of 48 meters. The floor can move up and down, and the stairs and all the equipment are completely exposed. The pipes in the east facade and the corridors in the west facade are covered by plexiglass dome. Inside the building, there are modern art museums, libraries and industrial design centers. In the south of it, there is the Institute of Music Acoustics in the underground of Little Square. The center breaks the design convention of cultural architecture and emphasizes the close relationship between modern science and technology and culture and art. It is the most typical representative of the technology-oriented school in modern architecture. Architectural features The most prominent features of Pompidou Center are the exposed steel structure and complex pipelines. The colors of these exposed complex pipes are regular. Air conditioning pipes are blue, water pipes are green, power pipes are yellow and escalators are red. The internal design, decoration, equipment and exhibits are novel, unique and modern, and its external structure is also unique, unique and modern. Contrary to the traditional architectural art, this museum invites all columns, stairs and pipes that have never been seen before to leave the room in order to make room for internal use. The whole building looks like a huge chemical plant with colorful pipes and steel bars. In those huge transparent cylindrical pipes, escalators are busy welcoming tourists. At the beginning, this condemned "huge monster" has been accepted by Parisians and gradually loved by them. Building structure Pompidou Center mainly includes four parts: public library, with a building area of about 16000 square meters; Museum of Modern Art, about18000m2; Industrial art design center, about 4000 square meters; Music and sound research center, about 5000 square meters. Together with other ancillary facilities, the total construction area is 103305 square meters. Except for the Music and Sound Research Center, other parts are concentrated in a six-story building with a length of166m and a width of 60m. Each floor of the building is a huge space, with a length of 166m, a width of 44.8m and a height of 7m. The whole building is supported by 28 circular steel tubular columns. There are no internal columns and no other fixed walls except a fire partition. Various use spaces are temporarily roughly divided by movable partitions, screens, furniture or railings, and the internal layout can be changed at any time, which is flexible and convenient to use. The designer once imagined that even the floor could move up and down to adjust the height of the floor, but it failed. Pompidou Center has a strange appearance. Steel structure beams, columns, trusses, tie rods and even colored pipelines are exposed on the facade without cover. Red is transportation equipment, blue is air conditioning equipment, green is water supply and drainage pipeline, and yellow is electrical facilities and pipelines. People can see the complex internal equipment of the building from the street, which is colorful and dazzling. On the facade of the building facing the square, a huge transparent circular tube is hung, and an escalator is installed inside it as the main means of transportation for the upper and lower floors. Designers put these outside the building, one of the purposes is to make the interior space of the floor unobstructed. (Paris Pompidou Art and Culture Center, 1972 ~ 1977, designed by R. Rogers and R. piano) Rogers explained his design intention: "We regard architecture as a flexible framework like a city. ..... they should adapt to people's ever-changing requirements to promote colorful activities. " He also said, "The design of buildings should allow people to move freely indoors and outdoors. The expression of freedom and change is the artistic expression of the house. " This architectural view of Rogers and others represents some architects' understanding and concern about the rapidly changing characteristics of modern life.
