What's the difference between fin radiator and plate heat exchanger?
Both fin radiator and plate heat exchanger belong to heat exchange equipment, but the structure and materials used are different, and the heat exchange efficiency is different. Finned tube is a kind of widely used spiral finned tube, which is an improved high-frequency welding heat dissipation element aiming at the defects of string fin and winding fin. Its heat transfer area is several times to dozens of times that of smooth tube, which can strengthen heat transfer, reduce flow resistance, heat exchange evenly, greatly reduce equipment volume, reduce metal consumption, and further improve the economy and reliability of equipment operation. The high-frequency welding of spiral finned tube is to heat the surface of steel strip and steel tube to plasticity or melting, and then use the head-on effect and proximity effect of high-frequency current to complete the welding under the pressure of surrounding steel strip, so that the steel strip and pipe fittings can be welded firmly.

The high-frequency welding technology of spiral finned tubes is considered as an energy-saving heat exchange element in China. This is a high frequency welding method. The outer wall of the steel pipe is spirally welded around it, and then the outer surface area of the steel pipe is greatly increased, so that the heat exchange effect is 4-7 times higher than that of ordinary pipes. GRD steel radiator developed by high-frequency welded finned tubes has the characteristics of high thermal strength, high pressure resistance and large heat dissipation. The welding of finned tubes uses high-frequency power supply as heat source, and the steel strip and steel tube are heated and melted at the same time. The heat exchanger has the characteristics of large heat exchange capacity, large heat dissipation area, long service life, wide application and good compression resistance. Generally, the distance and height of finned tube radiator mainly affect the formation of fins, and the fin ratio is closely related to the film heat transfer between the tube surface and the medium in the tube.

If the film heat transfer coefficient between the tube surface and the tube is quite different, finned tubes with large fins should be selected, such as steam heating air. When the phase change occurs on one side of the medium, the heat transfer coefficient is very different, such as the flow of heat exchange air. Finned tube heat exchanger can be selected. If there is no heat transfer between air and phase change, or there is no heat exchange between water and water, then light pipes are usually suitable. Of course, you can also choose a low finned tube, because the heating coefficient is weak at this time, and it is effective to strengthen either side. However, the influence of excessive fin ratio is not obvious, so threaded tube or grooved tube can be selected.
