Introduction.

Tangshan Library was built in 1956, inscribed by Mr. Guo Moruo, and officially opened to the public on 1958+00+0. 1976 The Tangshan earthquake that shocked the world turned the library into ruins. It was rebuilt at No.40 Wenhua Road on 1984 and opened to the public on July 1986. In order to speed up the construction of a modern public cultural service system and meet the basic knowledge, information and cultural needs of the people, the Tangshan Municipal Party Committee and the municipal government decided to build a new Tangshan Library in a different place, and construction started in August 20 13. The new building has been completed.

The new building is located in the southeast of Nanhu Eco-city Cultural Square, covering an area of 45.39 mu, with a building area of 26,000 ㎡ and a building height of 27.9 meters. By August, 2020, there will be 6.5438+0.2 million books and 2,000 seats for readers.
