Introduction of Tongren College
Tongren College, located in tongren city, a famous city in the west, is a provincial full-time undergraduate college and one of the first batch of pilot universities in China to reform the education and training plan for outstanding agricultural and forestry talents. The school, formerly known as Tongren Mingde Middle School, was founded at 1920 and Tongren Teachers College at1978. 1993, Tongren Regional College of Education merged and renamed Tongren Teachers College; In 2006, the school was upgraded to a full-time undergraduate college and renamed Tongren College. As of June 20 14, the school covers an area of 513,000 square meters, with an area of 380,000 square meters. The total value of teaching and research instruments and equipment is 73 million yuan, with 920,000 paper books and 2.833 million electronic books. At present, there are 16 teaching colleges (departments, departments) with 37 undergraduate majors, with a total of 8330 students, including 807 undergraduates1person and 55.3% ethnic minority students.
