What does cip mean?
The full name of CIP is cataloging in edition, which is what we often call cataloging in edition. CIP is usually printed in the middle of the back of the title. CIP is divided into four natural segments, and each natural segment is separated by a line. The first paragraph is the title of the book, that is, CIP data, the second paragraph is cataloging data, including the title, author's name, working method, name of publishing house, publication time and book number, and the third paragraph.

Domestic books are generally equipped with CIP data on the second page of the book (generally on the reverse side of the title page), that is, the book is catalogued in edition, indicating that the book has been registered by the State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television and has legal status, which can be found on relevant websites. These two data are indispensable for books published in China. If not, they will become internal materials and are not allowed to be priced or sold.

CIP, like ISBN, is unique, and it is also the identity card of a book with high recognition. CIP was released only after strict examination by the State Press and Publication Administration. Of course, CIP can only be obtained by filing with the State Press and Publication Administration through magazines, and individuals cannot obtain it. If you want to get your own CIP, you can consult the online editor of the title post.
