With a long history of positioning and distinctive professional characteristics, it is a domestic pharmaceutical literature information center. However, the library was split into China Pharmaceutical University, and each campus has a library, which is located in the teaching center area of each campus. Among them, the library of Xuanwu Gate Campus is a four-story frame structure with a "Japanese" shape, covering an area of more than 6,000 square meters and showing European architectural style. The 30,000-square-meter new library in Jiangning Campus is under planning and design. The temporary library is located in Jiangning Campus, located in Zone A of the teaching building, covering an area of 3,000 square meters.

The library of China Pharmaceutical University has a total collection of about 800,000 volumes and more than 3,000 Chinese and foreign periodicals. The collection has distinctive features and a complete system. It has formed a multi-disciplinary collection system with pharmaceutical and chemical books and periodicals as the main body and the coordinated development of related disciplines. Electronic literature resources have also increased rapidly. There are 29 kinds of CD-ROMs, network databases and characteristic databases at home and abroad, and the subject contents involve pharmacy, natural science and social science. It is the most complete pharmaceutical literature library in China and even in the world.
