2. Wellesley College, founded in 1875, is a women's college of arts and sciences. It is located in Wellesley, a small town west of Boston, Massachusetts, and is one of Seven Sisters colleges in the United States. According to the ranking of universities by US News and World Report, Wellesley College ranks in the top five among American liberal arts colleges.
