The prototype of "Thomas" first appeared in the story of "Railway Series" written by British priest Rife Audrey in 1945. This personified blue steam train and his train friends with different personalities live together on an island called Duoduo, taking risks and growing together.

Thomas is a small blue locomotive working on the Northwest Railway. He used to work on the railway from Vika to Nai Pfauter, but he was eager to leave his station and see the world.
